Detailed description of Wilkes-Barre Golf Club
Wilkes-Barre Municipal Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.
The course first opened for play in 1967. The course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish.
This is a hilly and wooded course. You will find sand bunkers on almost all of the holes. The greens are sloped, fast, and difficult to read.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,020 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,425 yards and plays to a par of 73. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 573 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 174 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 439-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Wilkes-Barre Municipal is # 14, a 339 yard par-4.

I have no idea what happened to this place. Used to be a well maintained course with some challenging holes. Now the greens are terrible and the place smells like sewage. Such a shame. Literally right up the road from me and I'll drive past it to get to nicer places.
